My name is Dede Kurnia, I was born in July, 1982 in Ciamis. My family consisted of my mother's father, two brothers and two sisters, and I was the youngest of five brothers. I lived and grew up in the town of Ciamis until I was 10 years old, at that time I was in school at the level two of the elementary schools in SDN Galuh 19 Ciamis, then I moved to Tangerang with my second sister, and attend school there.at that time my second sisters do not have a permanent residence, and it makes me have a different schools background, because I have always been to move according to residence, The school where I had studied, including SDN Perumnas 2 Jatiuwung Tangerang, and the last school is in the SDN Gerendeng 3 Pabuaran Tangerang.
After I graduated elementary school in 1995, I returned to live with my parents in Ciamis, and continued to studied in SLTPN 3 Ciamis until finally I graduated in 1998. After that I did not continue my education to the high school level, because my parents' finances did not allow me to continue schooling, so I had to help my parents to trade, to increase of our revenue. In my spare time I also often go to work as a laborer at a cake factory in Cikoneng-Ciamis. In the year 2000 I decided to go out of town to find another job, during that time I have ever worked as a shopkeeper, in a photo studio in Serang, Banten until 2002, and then I moved to Palembang and live with my eldest sister, and there I also got a job in building materials store, as a goods registrar. In 2005 I returned to my hometown, and settled in Ciamis until now.
Globalization era, free market competition, and the difficulty of finding decent work, makes me restless, because I do not have adequate provision of education to compete. This, made me more realize about the importance of education to be able to compete in the era of globalization. I often tell my friends about this. Until one time, my friend gave me a way out, and introduced me to an acquaintance, who is a board in a PKBM, and finally I get the opportunity to continuing my education in PKBM SELARAS for free, and graduated in 2008. After graduating from PKBM, I once worked at a furniture factory in Serang-Banten as labor contracts until tahun2009.
All the experiences that I got from my life journey, and the fact that I have not achieved success yet, make my spirit grew to obtain a better life. In 2010 I finally decided to continue my studies, and attended a class at the Galuh University Ciamis, until now.
I hope after I finish my college, my life in the future will getting better, and practice all my knowledge and experience to all who need. However, the most important thing is, I can make my parents proud of me and make them happy with the successes that I will achieve in the future, and I will always strive to make it all come true.
